Berintegritas Tinggi dari Sumsel
Staf Ahli Khusus Menteri Kehakiman dan Hak Azasi Manusia ini mengaku tidak
merasa kaget diangkat menjadi hakim konstitusi atas pilihan pemerintah.
Pasalnya, ia sudah terlibat dalam pembahasan RUU mahkamah Konstitusi.
Putera bangsa asal Desa Cempaka, Ogan Komering Ulu, Sumatera Selatan
ini mengatakan seorang hakim konstitusi harus berintegritas tinggi,
profesional dan tidak tercela Ahmad Syarifuddin Natabaya was
born in Cempaka, South Sumatra, 3 March 1942. This professor in the
Faculty of Law, Sriwijaya University, Palembang finished his bachelor
degree in the same university in 1967. He continued his master degree in
Indiana University School of Law, USA, 1981.
This father of two children hopes that as a member of the Constitutional
Court Justices, he can participate in guarding the 1945 Constitution of
the Republic of Indonesia as a living constitution. Having motto of
never old too learn, he sees that the Constitutional Court as a new
institution will face some challenges. Therefore, the Constitutional
Court Justices are required to be able to conduct constitutional
interpretation towards the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of
Indonesia as a method.
